Meet Dr. Gabrielle Rivera
DVMDr. Gabrielle Rivera earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from St. George’s University on the beautiful spice island of Grenada, before completing her fourth-year clinical training at the University of Florida in 2024. During her time at SGU, she was honored with the Outstanding Colleague Award and served as president of the Pride and Equality Club. While at UF, she received the Student of the Rotation award for her exceptional performance in the Intensive Care Unit.
Growing up in northern New Jersey, Dr. Rivera was a two-sport athlete throughout her life, continuing through her collegiate years. This experience instilled in her a deep appreciation for teamwork and discipline. She later pursued a biology degree at New Jersey City University. Initially, she dreamed of becoming a physical therapist and even coached varsity high school softball, but a career shift led her to veterinary medicine—allowing her to blend her passion for helping others with her love for animals. Dr. Rivera has a particular interest in surgery and dental procedures.
In her free time, she enjoys playing and watching sports, spending time with her nieces and nephews, cooking, listening to music, hiking, and traveling. Dr. Rivera is also a proud pet parent to three rescue animals: two dogs, Gracie and Brooke, and a cat named Mia!
