Meet Dr. Cathy Santos
DVMDr. Cathy Santos earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2025 after completing her Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences at the University of Florida. Throughout her veterinary training, she developed a strong passion for small animal medicine and surgery, with particular interests in soft tissue surgery, preventive care, and helping pets maintain the highest quality of life possible.
Originally from Orlando, Florida, Dr. Santos knew from a young age that she wanted to work with animals. Her educational journey took her from the University of Florida to Virginia Tech before bringing her back home to Florida, where she is excited to serve pets and their families in the community she loves. Dr. Santos is passionate about building lasting relationships with clients and believes that educating pet owners is one of the most important parts of veterinary medicine.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Santos enjoys staying active, exploring local restaurants, traveling, and spending time with her fiancé, Alex. She is also a proud pet parent to two rescue pets: Eclipse, a calico cat, and Maggie, a Basset Hound mix. Caring for her own pets helps remind her every day of the special bond that exists between people and the animals they love.
