Meet Dr. Sandra Irurueta
DVMDr. Sandra Irurueta is an Associate Veterinarian at The Animal Hospital of Dunedin. Dr. Sandra received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She has a passion for preventative care.
Dr. Sandra has been in the veterinary field since she completed a work study program through her highschool at 17 years old. She was hired at that same clinic prior to the end of the program and continued to learn and grow as part of their team for the next 8 years. She started as kennel help and worked her way up to Lead Veterinary Assistant before she attended veterinary school. Her passion and love of animals has always been a part of her calling and she loves helping owners take care of their pets to watch them thrive.
Dr. Sandra grew up in South Florida and moved to the area after veterinary school to be near family. She shares her household with her husband and toddler and their two guinea pigs, Louie and Huey. When she is not working, she enjoys baking, spending time with her daughter, and watching movies with her husband.
