A clean, comfortable pet is a happy pet. The spa services at the Animal Hospital of Dunedin help pets to feel fresh on the outside, and aim to improve their overall health too. Services like baths and brushing help us to spot parasitic infections and dermatological issues in seemingly healthy pets, and helps to soothe pets with medical needs.
Spa services are performed in a cozy, temperature-controlled area of the hospital during our normal business hours, by appointment.
At the Animal Hospital of Dunedin, we offer the following spa services for cats and dogs:
Well-groomed pets are also naturally less destructive to your home! Overgrown nails and an untidy coat can lead to scratched surfaces and excessive shedding around your home.
All spa services require a current rabies vaccine. If your pet is not up-to-date, we will administer the vaccination prior to their appointment for an additional fee.
How often your pet should be bathed depends on their lifestyle, coat type, any current medical considerations, and your personal preference. For instance, if your dog spends a lot of time being active outdoors, such as at dog parks or the beach, they may need weekly baths. On the other hand, if you have a senior pet that spends a lot of time curled up on your lap, they may only need a bath once a month. Please do not hesitate to ask our professional grooming staff any questions you may have about your pet’s grooming needs.
Do you trust the pet groomers at the Animal Hospital of Dunedin with all of your pet’s spa services? If so, we encourage you to ask us about our Hospital Bath Club!
