New Clients Welcome!

Hospital Policies

At the Animal Hospital of Dunedin, we want you and your pet to have a great experience at every visit. To do so, we‘ve put in place several hospital policies to keep our day-to-day hospital operations running smoothly.

By adhering to the following hospital policies, we are able to provide you with a positive client experience, your pet with a low-stress hospital setting, and our doctors and staff with a well-operated work environment to perform the services that will benefit your pet’s health and wellbeing.

The Animal Hospital of Dunedin operates by appointment only, with the exception of emergency cases.

Scheduled appointments allow our medical team to spend sufficient time with each pet without interruption, and minimizes time spent waiting in the reception area. Give us a call when you are ready to schedule an appointment for your pet, and one of our front office team members will work with you to accommodate your appointment request.

Emergency cases are seen right away during open office hours. A scheduled appointment is not required. Please come in right away! If possible, call us before you arrive so we can provide you with professional advice regarding your pet’s emergency situation and we are prepared to begin treatment upon arrival.

In the event of an emergency after-hours, please seek medical attention at the veterinary medical emergency facility closest to your home. We recommend:

AA Animal Emergency
36401 US 19, North Palm Harbor, FL 34684
Open M-F 5:30pm-8:00am
24 hours weekends and holidays

Tampa Bay Veterinary Emergency
1501 S Belcher Rd, Largo, FL 33771
Open 24/7/365

Blue Pearl Clearwater
Open 24 hours

When it is safe for your pet to be discharged, follow-up care will continue with the medical team you know and trust at Animal Hospital of  Dunedin.

For the safety of all people and pets under our hospital roof, we require all pets arriving to our facility properly restrained. Dogs must arrive to their scheduled appointment on a non-retractable leash, and cats should be secure in a carrier.

New Clients

New clients and patients are always welcome at the Animal Hospital of Dunedin. If you are looking for a new veterinarian, we invite you to give us a call or simply stop by! We’re happy to answer any questions you may have, give you a tour of our facility, and fit you into our appointment schedule.

We look forward to having the opportunity to meet you and care for your pet family!
