Animal Hospital of Dunedin’s Dr. Todd Named as Petplan’s 2016 Veterinarian of the Year Finalist
Dunedin veterinary hero will advance to the final round of Petplan’s Veterinary Awards
Dunedin (October 27 2015) – Bark it from Dunedin rooftops! Hometown hero Dr. Gregory Todd of Animal Hospital of Dunedin has been sniffed out as one of just three Finalists from across the U.S. and Canada for Petplan’s 2016 Veterinarian of the Year award.
Dr. Todd stood head and tails above the competition. An independent Judging Panel, made up of esteemed veterinary experts and industry leaders, carefully chose the Finalists from over 4,800 nominations. Finalists were selected for their impact on veterinary medicine and their commitment to providing an exceptional level of care to pets. The panel also considered the more than 5,900 online votes of support from clients, colleagues and pet parents.
”When it comes to choosing a Veterinarian of the Year, our judging panel has a truly exceptional pool of candidates to consider,” says Petplan co-founder and co-CEO Natasha Ashton. “There are so many veterinarians who are deeply committed to pet health, but Dr. Todd stood out from the pack not just for his excellence in practicing medicine, but also for an unwavering compassion for and dedication to Dunedin pets. I’m delighted to welcome him to the Finalists’ fold!”
Petplan will announce the winners on Saturday, January 16 at the Veterinary Awards Dinner in Orlando, FL. The ceremony is held at the Four Seasons Resort in concert with the North American Veterinary Community Conference. Guests will be treated to a keynote address by Dr. Andy Roark, and the evening will be emceed by Petplan’s Chief Veterinary Medical Officer, Dr. Jules Benson. This glittering gala for the “vet-terati” celebrates the best of the best in veterinary medicine.
Dr. Todd will receive a trip to attend the awards gala as an honored guest of Petplan, with travel and accommodation included. If he is named the winner, Dr. Todd will be awarded a $1,000 cash prize, a $1,000 donation to his favorite pet-related charity and other prizes from partners and sponsors.
Paws crossed and good luck to all of the Finalists!
